Ice Cream in Downtown Ottawa – Hayley & AJ

I cannot wait to tell ya’ll about Hayley & AJ, & I don’t think you’re ready. They were seriously the SWEETEST couple who made this session feel far more like a hang out with friends than like shooting people I had just met.

These two met at work, they’re both teachers! They both seem to me like they’d be absolutely wonderful teachers with their bubbly attitudes. When talking to them about where they’d like to have their engagement session, they definitely wanted to keep it in Ottawa, & I brought up that I had done a session in Byward market before & they LOVED that idea. So we met at Confederation Park in downtown Ottawa & began our journey.

Our walk to us from Confederation down to the canal & to the bench where he had proposed (which was adorable). We spent time there, twirling around the canal & laughing & giggling.

They told me that they had been doing an Ottawa ice cream bingo (a shared love of theirs) that had taken them all over Ottawa, trying new ice cream places & one of their favourite places was nearby, Piccolo Grande

We took our ice cream (yes, they got me some too, which was just the SWEETEST, both literally & figuratively) to a set of stairs outside of the National Gallery of Canada. They were so cute, feeding each other ice cream & just enjoying life. Again, felt like a friend hang out more than anything else!

At this point, we were losing some of the light & made our way back to Confederation Park, dancing around some streetlights & laughing our whole way back, hugging before saying goodbye.

Thank you Hayley & AJ for choosing me as your wedding photographer! I can’t wait for their wedding next year at the Nature Museum!!
