Neon Wedding in Prince Edward County – Olivia & Ryan

This day started at The Grist Mill in Consecon, Ontario. I began by taking detail photos of all of the beautiful decorations & just the wonderful space in general that was designed by Weddings by Brittiny, before the boys arrived & I got a few pictures of them drinking by the bar, showing off their socks, & just having a good time.

After that, I ran over to the space next door at Adega Wine Bar where the girls were snacking & drinking wine, so I could capture some photos of just the girls. Another absolutely gorgeous space.

And with that, it was time to get everyone to the ceremony space. Adeline, the bride & groom’s young daughter, was absolutely adorable, running around with all of the neon lights & hanging out with her dad.

The ceremony began, Adeline getting her own entrance of course, & then the bride came up the stairs, looking absolutely gorgeous. The officiant, Karin, did an absolutely stellar job making it perfectly the bride & groom. With their handwritten vows (much to the groom’s dismay, haha), everyone had tears in their eyes. Although, my favourite part of the ceremony was when they had their first kiss & Adeline stood in front of them to applaud, that one brought tears to my eyes.

We went outside afterwards to get a few photos of the wedding party & of the bride & groom before it started to rain a bit, so we finished the photos of Olivia & Ryan inside the Grist Mill in front of neon lights for some funky photos. This wedding definitely pushed me creatively & I loved every second of it.

After the entrance, they had their first dance, which was absolutely beautiful in front of the “Till Death” neon sign by A Light To Remember It was made even more precious when their daughter joined.

The way they had their wedding set up was that there was no formal sit down dinner, just tons of delicious canapes being brought around in a cocktail style dinner. So sporadically, there would be a speech & sometimes a dance (mother/son, father/daughter) after the speech. It was just a very laid back wedding with beautiful speeches & lovely dances.

And we of course had to get some photos of the bride & groom at their table underneath the “Till Death” neon sign! It was basically built for photos.

This wedding was so much fun & was definitely way different than every other wedding I shot this summer! Thank you so much, Olivia & Ryan, for trusting me & allowing me to be part of your wedding day! <3
