Kawartha Lakes Wedding – Tiffany & Jack

Tiffany & Jack’s engagement was just a taste of what was to come from their wedding. Joshua David Videography & I were able to do it together as a team which was amazing too.

We went to Kawartha Lakes for this wedding, on his grandparent’s property, complete with a barn & corn field. It was absolutely perfect. To begin, we started with some detail shots of the place. Including the jam that his other grandmother made as the wedding favours (which was delicious).

Being able to take photos of the dress & their hand painted vow books (they each painted their own & it was the sweetest thing) was so beautiful. It was a beautiful & sparkly dress, one of my favourite dresses of the season.

Then came the first look, and when I say that it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been a part of, I mean it. It was my first first look that I’ve ever photographed & I hope to photograph so many more. She walked towards him, tapped him on the shoulder, he turned around & started tearing up with Josh & I.

After the first look came the ceremony. The officiant was True North Ceremonies and she did such an amazing job. The whole ceremony was beautiful & tear-jerking. The way they read their own vows from their custom vow books was beautiful. Their first kiss was also just amazingly beautiful.

The family photos were right after & it was filled with so much joy. Everyone just felt like one big family & I thought that was just so beautiful. They made us even feel like we belonged there as well.

And then the wedding party, which was so sweet. The only people in the wedding party were the couple’s siblings. The groom & his brother were a sweet team, & then her sisters were absolutely beautiful.

We took a few photos then, because we knew that it was going to rain but hoped for a sunset later. But these photos were beautiful, with the corn field, a fun car, & down the dirt road.

The reception was absolutely wonderful. Capturing candids was so much fun, & they had some of the absolute best guests.

The speeches were beautiful, done by all three siblings & the parents of the bride & groom as well. You could truly tell that they were all one big family now instead of two separate ones and that’s one of the sweetest things.

We then THOUGHT it was sunset, so we tried to take a few photos, even if it was cloudy & trying not to continue raining. But they were beautiful & got some in front of the barn on the property & then went to see the kittens. (which is what inspired us to get our new kitten too.)

Right before the first dances, Tiffany had painted a photo of the house that their wedding was at as a gift for Jack’s grandparents & gifted it to them & had everyone shocked by her thoughtful gift.

Then the dances even if it was raining. They were all so sweet & everyone stood outside to watch with no problem. The first dance between the bride & groom and the father/daughter dance & mother/son dance were all beautiful.

When the dance floor opened up, everyone was completely fine with dancing in the rain & were having such a good time. But that’s when we looked up & realized that the SUNSET WAS GORGEOUS.

So we RAN to get the sunset photos which were some of my favourite photos EVER.

Then we did the cake cutting of some yummy vegan cupcakes & the wonderful day was over.

Thank you, Tiff & Jack, for having us be a part of your day.
