Another BEAUTIFUL summer wedding was Sophie & Liam’s. Again, shooting alongside Joshua David Videography we were both so thankful to be able to do this wedding alongside each other to capture some absolutely beautiful moments.
From the moment I met Sophie & Liam at their engagement session, I knew I had just made some friends. They are just the loveliest humans who are so CLEARLY head over heels for each other, so to be able to be a part of their big day was just such a joy.
We started at the Valley Gentleman Barber Shop in downtown Pembroke, where the groom is a co-owner, for his getting ready. Him and his two groomsmen were SO much fun, laughing and clearly having the greatest time. Drinking whiskey, cleaning up their beards, & just being some of the best looking groom & groomsmen I’ve seen.
After that, we ran to a family friend’s house of the bride & groom outside of Beachburg, ON to capture some of the getting ready moments of Sophie & her bridesmaid. Mack & Lily hair did her hair (I just missed them which was too bad!) & Stacey from Sugar Society did her make up & she looked wonderful! During this, she also read a letter from Liam that had us all in tears (he wanted to read his in private). After capturing some detail shots of her dress from Crazy Beautiful Dresses & sampling some of the food from His & Hers Grazing, we were off to the ceremony!
The ceremony was at the absolutely stunning St. Columbkille’s Cathedral in Pembroke, ON. It was so filled with the people that mattered most to them & the faith that’s vital to their lives. Prayers, incense, & lots of love filled the space of their wedding, with Sophie’s family from Japan watching on from a Facebook Live feed.
After their absolutely tear-filled & beautiful ceremony, we drove to Barry’s Bay, ON for photos & the reception at another family friend’s house (this couple is seriously so SO loved by the people in their lives! A friend even catered the food & it was some of the BEST wedding food I’ve EVER had.).
We took some photos outside of St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church with their family & bridal party after taking photos of just the two of them at Crooked Slide Park in Barry’s Bay. It was a hot July day, but that didn’t stop them from looking just breathtaking in their photos.
The reception space was hand decorated by them & friends (seriously, do I need to say that they’re SO SO loved AGAIN??) & it was wonderful. Seriously a killer space fit for the fairy tale that was this wedding day.
After eating came the speeches & dances, including a silly dance by the boys that an uncle jumped in on!! It was beautiful & hilarious, just like this couple. A perfect juxtaposition.
A perfect wedding for basically perfect people. Can it get any better than this?
